$5,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER SOCIAL WORK has an outstanding opportunity for a FULL-TIME MOBILE ADVOCATE SOCIAL WORKER (100% FTE, Day Shifts) to join the Harborview Abuse & Trauma Center (HATC) .

This position provides direct support and advocacy services to primary and secondary victims of sexual assault. The incumbent will also coordinate with the legal, medical, and community-based systems to ensure continuity of care, and work closely with the HATC medical and counseling teams to ensure timely and culturally responsive services are provided. Service provision will be provided remotely and in person, and this position may be a hybrid work from home and office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered information, crisis intervention, legal, medical, and general advocacy, support, and referrals to survivors of interpersonal violence. • Provide crisis intervention to victims/family members over the phone and in person. • Provide assessments and brief interventions to victims and their families. • Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to addressing systemic oppression in serving diverse populations. Actively engages in agency-wide Diversity, Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion practices and strives for racially equitable outcomes • Develop ongoing relationships internally and with external health providers, law enforcement, and other social service providers to provide effective and timely continuity of care for primary and secondary survivors.

REQUIREMENTS: A Master of Social Work Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education AND One year of full-time social work experience in a health care setting or equivalent. Experience can include a practicum placement as part of a social work training program and/or employment experience.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: Within 90 days of hire must hold one of the following credentials issued by the state of Washington: • Licensed Social Work Associate - Independent Clinical • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
